Have a Question About Our Premium Finishes? You'll Find Answers to Common Queries About Our Products, Application, and Services Below.
01. I want a premium wood finish for my furniture. How is Colour Coats different from regular polish or PU paint done by a local painter?
Colour Coats uses Italian-imported coatings that offer superior clarity, depth, and durability compared to standard PU or melamine finishes. Our finishes highlight wood grains while providing long-term resistance to scratches, UV rays, and moisture. Local painters use local products which don’t look as great, yellow over time and also don’t last as long.
02. Can I customize a wall texture or wood finish to match my interior theme?
Yes, absolutely. We offer over 500 customisable textures and finishes. Our design consultants work with your interior designer or architect to ensure seamless integration with your space’s theme, lighting, and furniture. You ask for a solution and we will create it for you.
03. Do you provide application services or just the products?
Our products are very specialised and cannot be applied by majority of the painters in the country. Hence we supply as well as apply. All our prices bake in end to end solution for you. We have India’s largest in-house team of trained and certified applicators pan India to ensure flawless application and finish consistency. DIY is not recommended for our products due to the technical expertise required.
04. Can Colour Coats be applied to surfaces that are already painted or polished?
In many cases, yes – after proper surface preparation. Our team assesses the substrate and existing finish to recommend whether sanding, priming, or stripping is required before application.
05. Can you apply coatings in an occupied house or do I need to vacate?
While our water-based finishes are low-odour and quick-drying, for best results and minimal disruption, we recommend vacating the specific area being coated.
06. Is there a risk of yellowing or peeling over time?
Unlike local polishes, our UV-resistant and weather-stable coatings do not yellow, peel, or flake with time – even in humid climates like Mumbai. Proper maintenance is key, and we provide care instructions post-application.
07. I don't know what texture will look good on my walls. Can someone guide me?
Yes. Our in-house consultants help you visualize options using large-scale samples and digital mockups. We also recommend finishes based on lighting, footfall, and room usage.
08. Can I test a finish on-site before final selection?
Yes. We offer sample patches on your wall or wood surface so you can see the final look under your actual lighting conditions.
09. How do your costs compare to traditional paint or polish?
Our premium coatings are costlier than local finishes, but they deliver 3–5x the life, visual appeal, and protection. We offer transparent estimates after understanding your surface area and desired finish. Trust us, you are getting much more than what you are paying for!
10. Do your coatings come with any warranty?
Yes. Most of our coatings come with a performance warranty of 3 to 7 years, depending on the product and surface. Warranty details are shared during the consultation.
11. I live in a city where you don't have a showroom. Can I still avail your services?
Yes. We serve projects pan-India and can ship products along with remote technical support. For application, we can recommend certified partners in select cities.
12. Do you supply to architects and interior designers for large-scale projects?
Definitely. We frequently work with architects on residential, hospitality, and commercial projects, offering bulk rates and dedicated project support.
13. How do I clean surfaces coated with your products?
Use a soft cloth and a mild detergent or just water – no harsh abrasives or alcohol-based cleaners. We’ll share specific care guides for your chosen finish.
14. Can I repaint or refinish the wall later if I want a different texture?
Yes. Our coatings are fully re-coatable. We sand and prep the surface before applying a new texture, giving your walls or woodwork a fresh look without tearing them down.
